Short Film Friday: Luminaris

Adrian Patenaude

In order to have some consistency on this blog, and just for the fun of it, I'm starting a new weekly series: Short Film Fridays. Every week, I'll post a new short that's worth sharing. As you know, I love making short films, so I guess I can call this "research." Anyway, hope you enjoy the series! Today's short film is Luminaris, a beautiful stop-motion film directed by Juan Pablo Zaramella from Argentina. It has won 300 international awards and was included on the Oscars Shortlist for Best Animated Short in 2011.

Vimeo Logline: "In a world controlled and timed by light, an ordinary man has a plan that could change the natural order of things."

Why I love it: Its flawless stop-motion, unique concept and whimsical storyline make it a joy to watch.
