Faith in You used to be seamless,
like AirDrop
or Dropbox.
Now the wifi drops
out without warning,
laptop whirring,
beach ball whirling.

I’m typing on an unpaired Bluetooth keyboard.
I’ve forgotten all my passwords.

But I remember the days
when email meant freedom.
Music spoke inside me
the first time I wore earbuds.
Turning in my father’s gray office chair,
I held my iPod Shuffle
like a revelation scroll.
