“What have I missed?” That’s my favorite question these days as I stumble into the curious lives of others. “Where have you been all my life?” should not remain rhetorical. Knowing the context of someone’s story adds years of richness to the otherwise static first impression formed if I’m not paying attention. Even longtime friendships grow vivid with every shared flashback. People are in constant motion, intersecting at single points on a plane, but stretching to infinity in both directions. Half a degree off and we’d never have met, but it’s lucky we did because your story gives me strength. I am very glad to know you, my friend.
